Evergreen Tree
Purchase an Evergreen Tree if you Want Your Yard to Maintain its Green Sheen Throughout the Year
In a world of plants which eventually lose their leaves during the winter months, the evergreen tree stands out as a completely unique type of plant which is perfect for anyone who does not want their landscape to “die off” during the colder parts of the year. An evergreen tree can grow in nearly any part of America, although they thrive in areas which have colder winters and more mountainous regions. Native to a variety of places in America and Europe the evergreen tree has been grown in nearly any place which is relatively temperate in climate during the summer months and cooler in the wintertime.
North America is a continent with a vast diversity of trees. From the Douglas fir that is commonly used as a Christmas tree to the red fir which is found in Oregon and Washington, there are plenty of different types of evergreen to use that are completely native to America. The Douglas fir is one evergreen tree, however, that stands out amongst the rest thanks to its beautifully dense foliage and amazingly low price tag. If you allow this evergreen tree to grow to its full height, it can become the second largest tree in the world and clock in at nearly seventy five meters. They are a diverse species which an even more diverse group of animals call their home – from birds to woodland rodents, all types of animals can live in a fully mature Douglas fir.
Europe is a continent which is certainly not short on evergreen tree species. The first Christmas tree, the silver fir originated in Europe in the mountainous regions near France and Italy. While these have since been abandoned in Europe for their use as Christmas trees, there are others which are native to Norway such as the Norway spruce and native to Eastern Bloc countries such as the Nordmann fir – both of which are equally impressive examples of a great evergreen. No matter whether you choose your tree for its low price or for its beautiful foliage, European evergreens certainly do not disappoint.
